The funeral service for Gladys Minnie Johnson will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Dodge Center United Methodist Church in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Michelle Miller officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Gladys Minnie Johnson, 97, of Dodge Center, MN, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away on May 15, 2009, at Season’s Hospice in Rochester, MN.
Gladys Minnie Krock was born on November 17, 1911, in Windom, MN the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Bell) Krock. She attended school in Houston, MN. Gladys was united in marriage to Alvin Johnson in Pipestone, MN in 1928. She was a life long resident of Dodge Center, and worked as a cook for the Dodge Center School System. Gladys enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, flowers, gardening and traveling.
Gladys is survived by her son, Richard Johnson, Dodge Center, MN; three daughters, Joyce (Al) Rasmussen, White Bear Lake, MN; Ardie (Burt) Ramaker, Rochester, MN; Barb (Wally) Swing, Forest Lake, MN; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvin in 1973, son, Donald; grandson, Lee; great grandson, Conner; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Dodge Center United Methodist Church. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center is in charge of arrangements.
