GLADYS ILEEN WESTIN

The funeral service for Gladys Ileen Westin will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at The Evanger Lutheran Church, 33554 660th Avenue, Sargeant, MN with Reverend Dwight DoBell officiating. Interment will be in Evanger Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Gladys Ileen Westin, 89, passed away on August 10, 2013, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN.
Gladys was born on May 16, 1924, the daughter of Carl and Gertrude (Martin) Gunderson in Mower County, MN.

Gladys was united in marriage to Sanford Westin on June 5, 1942, in Hayfield. Gladys and Sanford were farmers in the Sargeant area and members of Evanger Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing cards, and watching baseball.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Sanfra (Nathan) Redalen, Rochester, MN; Carol (Dean Zimmerman) Cafourek, Rochester, MN; and son, Dale (Sharon) Westin, Prior Lake, MN; 9 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sanford; daughter, Marilyn Westin Nelson; two grandsons, Eric Westin and Terry Redalen; great granddaughter, Frankie Bakken; and 3 sisters. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements.
