Gregory Lynn Demmer

Gregory Lynn Demmer, 63, passed away at his home in Hayfield on September 3, 2020.  Gregory was born on October 19, 1956, the son of Lyle and Mary (Sybilrud) Demmer in Hayfield, MN.

He graduated Hayfield High School in 1975, attended the University of Wisconsin later going to work on the family farm and owning the bowling alley and Frontier Lounge in Hayfield. Greg loved his town and everyone in it. He enjoyed having a good old conversation and loved being with his family & spending time with his grandkids. He had a love for Minnesota sports and catching up with friends. We would like to give a special thank you to Field Crest Care Center for the wonderful care that he received throughout the last few years

Greg is survived by his children, Jordan (Clarissa) Demmer, Hayfield, MN; Paige Demmer, Hayfield, MN; mother, Mary Demmer, Hayfield, MN; 2 grandchildren, Kaiden and Kenslea; sister, Pamela (Jack) Young, North Carolina; and brother, Steven (Rebecca) Demmer, Byron, MN. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle; first wife, Doreen; and one daughter, Ashley.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2 ^nd Street NW in Hayfield. There will be a private family burial at Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
