The memorial service for Gregory Alan Kenis will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009, at St. Michaels Lutheran Church at 30450 570th Avenue, Waltham, Minnesota with Reverend John Heruth officiating.
Gregory Alan Kenis, 57, died October 7, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Gregory Alan Kenis was born on February 19, 1952, in Albert Lea, Minnesota the son of Charles and Lorna (Black) Kenis. Greg graduated from Albert Lea High School. He moved to Austin, MN and later married Lois Lee in 1991. The couple moved to the Waltham area. He worked as writer for local newspapers. Greg enjoyed telling jokes, playing chess, meeting new people, and watching sports. His hobby was talking to his pets. Greg was a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church in Waltham.
Greg is survived by his wife, Lois Lee-Kenis; daughter, Amy Kenis; son, David Kenis; daughter, Sarah Kenis; his parents, Charles and Lorna Kenis, brother, Mick Kenis; sisters, Vicki Westrum; and Jennifer Prince.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at St. Michaels Lutheran Church in Waltham on Saturday, October 10, 2009.
Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield will assist in arrangements.
