HELEN MARIE DELANO
The funeral service for Helen Marie Delano will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home and one half hour before the service on Saturday.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, MN.
Helen Marie Delano, 85, passed away on November 11, 2015, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN.
Helen was born on February 17, 1930, the daughter of Michael and Minnie Mary (Hoeck) Hindrickson in Blue Earth, MN. She and her family moved to the Hayfield area at the age of nine and on to Dodge Center. In 2010, she moved to Field Crest Care Center.
She graduated from high school and later worked at the canning factory. She was united in marriage to Harvey Delano on January 12, 1947, in Claremont, MN. Helen belonged to the Congregational Church for many years.
Helen is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Dave) Maroo, Hinckley, IL; Paula (George) Witt, Dodge Center, MN; Denise (Michael) Butler, Hayfield, MN; two sons, Roger (Jan) Delano, Lena, WI; Mick (Brooke) Delano, Dodge Center, MN; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2002; one son, Rick; and two brothers.
