HENRY FRED SCHRAMM
The funeral service for Henry Fred Schramm will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Waltham, MN with Reverend Jeffrey Kuddes officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Henry Fred Schramm, 92, died Monday evening, March 23, 2009, at Our House Senior Living in Austin, MN.
Henry Fred Schramm was born on April 21, 1916, in Dexter Township, Mower County, MN the son of August and Caroline (Hussong) Schramm. Henry was united in marriage to Irene Schulz on May 22, 1938, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waltham. Henry and Irene farmed in Battle Creek, IA from 1944-1947 and moved to Waltham MN, and farmed from 1947-1999. The couple spent 27 years wintering in Texas. They moved to Hayfield and then to The Cedars in Austin, MN and later to Our House Senior Living. Henry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waltham. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, fishing, dancing and working on word seek puzzle books. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Henry is survived by his wife, Irene Schramm, Austin, MN; daughters, Sharen Peuha, Hibbing, MN; Lois (Gary) Hughes, Red Wing, MN; son Roger (Georgia) Schramm, Gordon, WI; one brother, Dwayne Schramm, Fresno, CA; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother, one brother, two sisters; son-in-law and one grandson.
Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. March 28, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waltham, MN. The family prefers memorials to donors choice or Alzheimer’s Association.
