HERBERT FREDERICK POGALZ

The memorial service for Herbert Frederick Pogalz will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 308 2nd Street NW, Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Justin Boeding officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. There will be Military Honors by the Dodge Center American Legion.

Herbert Frederick Pogalz, 74, of Dodge Center, MN passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN on February 1, 2012.

Herbert Frederick Pogalz was born on March 31, 1937, the son of Fred and Selma (Trump) Pogalz in Kasson, MN. He graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1955. Herbert was united in marriage to Clara Gene "Pat" Cook on July 20, 1958, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Dodge Center. Herbert served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1959. He and his wife farmed in the Dodge Center area. Herbert worked for Energy Economics in Dodge Center for many years. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and going to Texas in the winter.

Herbert is survived by one son, Paul Pogalz, Dodge Center, MN; one daughter, Pam (John) Buss, Prairie du Sac, WI; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Donald (Marty) Pogalz, Kasson, MN; and one sister, Roberta Johnson, Brooklyn Center, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara "Pat", and one son, Geary.

Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center is in charge of arrangements.
