The funeral service for Hilaria Amanda Dahlen will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2008, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Hayfield, MN with Reverend Darby Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in West St. Olaf Cemetery.
Hilaria Amanda Dahlen, 92, of Hayfield, MN died Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield.
Hilaria was born in Dodge County the daughter of Henry and Sophia (Moe) Greene. She attended Dodge County Schools. Hilaria was united in marriage to Ernest Dahlen on December 16, 1933, in Hayfield, MN. Hilaria was a homemaker and helped her husband farm and later worked at the Oslo Store for twenty five years. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, and being with her family.
Hilaria is survived by one son, Hubert (Oleta) Dahlen, Rochester, Washington; one daughter, Barbara Nord, Mantorville, MN; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; three brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church.
