Jackie "Jack" Junior Ruport

Jackie “Jack” Junior Ruport, 83, of Mantorville, MN passed away from complications of a stroke on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Mayo Clinic, Saint Mary’s Campus.

Jack was born on August 22, 1935 in Mantorville, MN to Ronald and Mildred (Growden) Ruport.  He was united in marriage to Jean Olson on June 12, 1953 at the First Congregational Church Rectory in Mantorville. Together they raised seven children.

Jack worked in auto body repair for over sixty years.  His greatest joy was spending time with and caring for his family. He also enjoyed many activities with his family including; hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, and boating.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Jean, of 65 years; children, Keith (Judy) Ruport of Kasson, MN; Kent (Deb) Ruport of Kasson, MN;  Vicki (Craig) Mussman of Dodge Center, MN; Debbie (Bob) Backstrom of Deerwood, MN;  Ron Ruport of Mantorville, MN; and Brenda (Neal) Huemoeller of Kasson, MN; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; siblings, Allan (Sylvia) Ruport of Kasson, MN and DiAnne Miller of Elk Grove, CA; many nieces and nephews; and family friend Paul Larsen of Mantorville, MN.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; daughter, Ginny Sell; and great-grandson, Dylan Setterlund.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 801 7 ^th Street SE in Kasson, MN and one hour prior to the service Saturday.  The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes in Kasson.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville, MN with a light lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.) or donor’s choice.
