James Wallace Belden

James Wallace Belden, age 70, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Mayo Clinic St Mary’s campus in Rochester, MN. James was born on October 4, 1955, in Rochester, MN to Donald and Julia (Koenig) Belden. He graduated from Dodge Center high school. He was a hard-working man who worked various labor jobs and was able to retire at age 60. He was married to Laurie Hanson in 1984. Jim loved fishing and spending family time at the cabin. He was a big MN Vikings fan, enjoyed listening to classic rock and liked playing foosball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Julia Belden; siblings, Joe Belden, Liz Thomas, Sharon Wentzel, Vivian Stockel, Donald James Belden, Donna Cockrell, and Mildred Hedum.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie Belden; daughter, Katie Williamson; son, Kirby Belden; siblings, Rosemary Brown-Austin MN, Judy Viers-Greene Iowa, and Deborah Gardner-Andover MN; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren.
