JAMES MICHAEL "JIM" KLEIN, SR.

The funeral service for James Michael Klein, Sr. will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church 104 1st Street SE in Hayfield with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
James Michael Klein, Sr. 75, died Wednesday morning, May 26, 2010, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.
James Michael Klein, Sr. was born on July 18, 1934, in Sauk Centre, MN the son of John and Anna (Tutewohl) Klein. Jim was united in marriage to LaVonne "Bonnie" Jones on September 6, 1954, in Sauk Centre. They made their home in the Hayfield and Sargeant areas with their 12 children. Jim was an avid sports player in softball, bowling and was a great fan of the Minnesota Twins and The Vikings. Folks may remember him as "Jimbo" from managing the Hayfield and Waltham Liquor Stores.
Jim is survived by 10 children, Rick Jones, Harlem, GA; Larry Klein, Elk River, MN; Deb (Russ) Nelson, Brownsdale, MN; Kenny Klein, Faribault, MN; James (Mary) Klein, Willow Hill, Il; Bradley (Antje) Klein, Brainerd, MN; Theresa Shoemaker, Stewartville, MN; Darla Klein, FL; Brian Klein, Owatonna, MN; Jerry (Kim) Klein, Minnesota Lake, MN; one sister Alice Schultheis, age 92, PA; 32 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife (Bonnie), son, Marvin; daughter, Joyce; two brothers, and one sister. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
