James “Jim” Lowell Stucky, 84, of Kasson, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at his home.
Jim was born on October 19, 1941, in Old Concord, MN to Ross and Elsie (Chapman) Stucky. He graduated from Pine Island High School. He worked as a cowboy in Montana and on his family’s dairy farm. He then worked and retired from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Following his retirement he worked as a truck driver for construction companies. He also rode and drove horses and mules. On January 12, 1984, he married the love of his life, Beverly Timgren. They shared their home together in Kasson, MN.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. He looked forward to heading out on many different road trips and spending time at his camper in Waterville, MN.
Jim is survived by his children, Dale Stucky of Kenyon, MN and Delores “Dee Dee” (Gene) Hart of Byron, MN; stepchildren, Paul (Danh) Beckman of Rochester, MN and Scott Beckman of Chatfield, MN; sister, Marilyn Chilson of Oronoco, MN; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Elsie Stucky; wife, Beverly Stucky; sisters, Jane Rucker and Phyllis (Cowden) Feisler; brother, Dan Stucky; stepson, Brad Beckman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, 101 6th Ave NW in Kasson, MN, with Pastor Loren Olson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE in Kasson, MN and one hour prior to his service at the church. Burial will be in Berne cemetery in Berne, MN.
Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church.
