JAMES E. STIVERS

James E. Stivers, 83, of Kasson, MN died Sunday morning, August 1, 2010 at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, Minnesota.
James E. Stivers was born on October 6, 1926, in St. Paul, Minnesota. James grew up in Dodge County, Minnesota and graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1944. He was a veteran of World War II. He worked for Anderson Canning Company in Dodge Center, Rochester State Hospital and Don W. Fisher Company. James also had his own small engine and chain saw repair business until he retired. He married Joyce Renken on June 16, 1956.
James is survived by his wife, Joyce, of 54 years, one sister, Kathy Peterson, Kasson, MN; one sister-in-law, Peggy Stebbins, Rochester, MN; one niece; three nephews, five great nephews and three great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 110 West Main in Dodge Center. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, Minnesota.
