JANICE LYNETTE JOHNSON

The memorial service for Janice Lynette Johnson will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2013, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.

Janice Lynette Johnson, 60, passed away on August 15, 2013, in Austin, MN.

Janice was born July 9, 1953, in Hayfield, MN to Richard and Marie (Hartle) Johnson. Jan was the fourth of five children, Richard Johnson, Jan's father, was born April 26, 1923, in Kanawha, Iowa. He passed away in September of 2005. Marie Hartle Johnson, Jan's mother, was born in Steele County, MN.

Janice attended special education classes and graduated with the Hayfield Class of 1971. Janice resided in group homes in Austin and most recently in Elmwood and Birchwood. Janice enjoyed crafts, sports, TV shows, music and dining out.

Janice is survived by her mother, Marie Johnson, Rochester, MN; sisters, Patricia (Ronald) Petit, Rochester, MN; Lori (Ron Lahr) French, Hopkinton, IA; nephews, Phillip Richards, Davenport, IA; Lane French, Iowa City, IA; and niece, Abby French, Iowa City, IA. She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, and one sister.

The family extends a special thank you to the Elmwood Staff, Birchwood Staff and Mayo Hospice for their loving care.
