JARY MARVIN SOBEK

The funeral service for Jary Marvin Sobek will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st Street SE, Hayfield, MN with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating.
Jary Sobek 40, passed away at his home in rural Kasson on December 28, 2012, of natural causes.
Jary was born on October 10, 1972, in Rochester, MN the son of Marvin and Patricia (James) Sobek. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1991. Jary worked at Elcor Construction as a mechanic. In 1999, he started at Olmsted County Park Department until his death. He was united in marriage to Marianne Ronningen on July 7, 2000, in Rochester, MN. Jary was a member of the Patriot Guard and the Minnesota POW-MIA Riders Association. He enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycle, drag racing, four wheeling, fishing, camping, tinkering in the garage, and taking care of his yard. Jary enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog, Molly.
Jary is survived by his wife, Marianne Sobek, Kasson, MN; daughters, Danielle Shelstad, and Meaghan Shelstad, both of Rochester, MN; mother, Patricia Sobek, Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Madyson Reniker and Dominick Bussell; brother, James Sobek, Rochester, MN; and sister, Dawn (Kent) Kaupa, Rochester, MN; father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Judy Barth, Byron, MN; sister-in-law, Cindy Ronningen (Shane Elpert), Rochester, MN; nieces and nephews, Bethany Sobek, Evan Sobek, Brandon Janzen, and Tanner Pike. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW, Hayfield, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
