Jayne Beth Hoffmann

Jayne Beth Hoffmann, 64, passed away on January 31, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN.

Jayne was born in Knox, Indiana, the daughter of Robby L. and Barbara (Bennett) Gilliland on March 2 ^nd 1954. The family moved to Dodge Center in 1960. She graduated from Dodge Center High School, Cottey College in Nevada, MO and received her BS Degree from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, MO.

In 1981 she married Mark Hoffmann and they were later divorced.

Jayne taught 4 ^th and 5 ^th grade in the Pine Island School District for thirty-five years. She loved children and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved summer vacations at the lake and working in her flower beds in her back yard.

Jayne is survived by her son Eric (Jodi) Hoffmann, Denham Springs, LA and daughter Hillary (Cody) Laue, Dodge Center. Also surviving are grandchildren Peyton, Harper, Pierson, Jaycelin and Grant; mother Barbara Gilliland, Dodge Center; siblings Bennett (Pamela) Gilliland, Dodge Center; William (Kathleen) Gilliland, Potomac, MD; nephew; Robby Gilliland; nieces Carly, Abby, Sydney Gilliland, Kelsey (Sean) Reilly and many aunts uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father Robby Gilliland.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center. A special remembrance will be at 4:30 p.m.
