Jean Barbara Smith, 84, of Kasson, MN passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 18, 2023.
Jean was born on January 5, 1939, to James and Aldora (Bushner) Kusch in South Milwaukee, WI. She worked as a nurse in a variety of hospitals and roles including a school nurse, St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, Gilettes Childrens of St. Paul, and St. Mary’s in Rochester, MN.
Jean is survived by her children, Janet Heinl of Kasson, MN and Jeffrey Heinl of Farmington, MN; grandson, Zach Heinl; brothers, Jim, Dick, Mike, and Mark; sister, Lorraine; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Joan; and sisters, Ellen, Cheryl, and Sandy.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
