A Mass of Christian burial for Jean Laraine Styer of Dodge Center, MN will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011, at St. John the Baptist De La Salle Catholic Church, 20 2nd Street NE, Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Will Thompson officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, West Albany, MN.
Jean Laraine Styer, 67, died at her home in Dodge Center on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.
Jean was born on July 7, 1944, the daughter of Robert and Beverly (Trowbridge) Miller. She was united in marriage to William Styer on February 23, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN. The couple lived in Brooklyn Center for 13 years and moved to Millville, and later she moved to Dodge Center in 1992. William died on November 6, 1991. Jean was a waitress at Herbies Café in Dodge Center and John's Family Restaurant in Rochester. She loved her family, grandchildren and her animals. Jean was a piano teacher most of her life and loved music.
Jean is survived by her children, Jeffry (Eric Bachman) Styer, Minneapolis, MN; Daniel Styer, Kasson, MN; Paula (Robert) Anderson, Monticello, MN; Patti Masters, Rochester, MN; six grandchildren, Natassja Elliott, Kayla Lange, Kasandra Lange, Baihly Styer, Caleb Styer and Shae Anderson; two sisters, Marilyn Thielen, Dodge Center, MN; and Gerri (Jim) Lange, Maple Grove, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
