JEAN MARILYN WAY

The memorial service for Jean Marilyn Way will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at the United Methodist Church, 100 Pleasant Street SE, Brownsdale, MN with Reverend Sharon Goetzinger officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.

Jean Marilyn Way, 72, passed away on January 8, 2014, at her home in Brownsdale.

Jean was born on May 20, 1941, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Woxland) Olness in Milwaukee, WI. She attended country schools in Peterson and Rushford areas. Jean worked at Winona Knitting Milles, Plano Independent School District in Texas and later moved to Jefferson, IA and worked for Greene Medical Center. After she moved to Brownsdale she work at Hayfield High School. She was united in marriage to David Way on September 28, 1985, in Panora, IA. Jean enjoyed gardening, baking, and was an avid collector of pig collectables.

Jean is survived by her children, Rocky (Lisa) Boehmke, Farmersville, TX; Randy (Lisa) Boehmke, Wichita, KS; Ramona (Craig) Gwin, Brownsdale, MN; Roger (Jessie) Allen, Kenyon, MN; Kelly Allen, Faribault, MN; Joe (Sarah) Allen, Faribault, MN; Jim (Mardell) Way, Kenyon, MN; Scott (Kim) Way, Cologne, MN; Pete Way, Oklahoma, OK; Travis (Paula) Way, Kenyon, MN; Jon (Sarah) Way, Chanhassen, MN; Brent Way, Fargo, ND; 28 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (George) Hovland, Rushford, MN; and Beverly (Donald) Olson, Peterson, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ole Olness and her husband, David.
