The memorial service for Joan Marilyn Larson will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center, MN.
Joan Marilyn Larson, 80, died on Thursday afternoon January 27, 2011, at Samaritan Bethany Heights in Rochester, MN.
Joan was born on February 17, 1930, in St. Petersburg, FL, the daughter of Fred and Sylvia (Franklin) Guenthner. She graduated from high school. Joan was united in marriage to Alden Banks, and after his death she married Neil Larson. He also preceded her in death. Joan enjoyed reading and spending time at the casinos.
Joan is survived by one son, Wayne (Ida) Banks, Rochester, MN; three daughters, Sharon (Tom) Taylor, Lakewood, CO; Cindi (Curt) Roe, Eagan, MN; Melody (Randy) Finley, Dodge Center, MN; daughter-in-law, Martha Banks, Kasson, MN; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; one brother, Lyle (Pat) Guenthner, Mesa, AZ; and one sister, Sandra (Ed) Helms, Hartsel, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, 2 sons, and one brother.
