Joey Palmer Sanvick

Joey Palmer Sanvick, 59, passed away comfortably in his home surrounded by his family on June 15, 2022, after his courageous battle with cancer.

Joey was born on April 18, 1963, the son of Lloyd and Adeline (Bolstad) Sanvick in Austin, MN.  After graduating from Hayfield High School in 1981, he went on to work at several places including Hormel Foods, Crown Cork & Seal, Quality Pork and Seneca Foods.  He enjoyed driving truck and did so for multiple companies including Hayfield Window & Door, LME and Yaggy.

Joey loved spending time with his family and friends.  He loved supporting his children in their activities and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Vikings fan and loved being a part of the Hayfield community.  He looked forward to his annual hunting trip with his brothers and family vacation up north.  His happy place was being on the open road and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  Christmas was his favorite time of year, he listened to Christmas music all year round. He was known for being able to strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

Joey is survived by the mothers of his children, Carlene Deblon, Austin, MN; Carrie Sanvick, Rochester, MN; children, Jared Sanvick, Austin, MN; Justine Sanvick, Hayfield, MN; Jocelyn Sanvick, Austin, MN; Jackie Sanvick, Tucson, AZ; mother, Adeline Sanvick, Hayfield, MN; grandchildren, Logan and Chelsea Sanvick; granddog, Pearl; siblings, Nancy (Vern) Rice, Richard Sanvick, Bonnie Meier, Philip (Sue) Sanvick, Jodi (Dan) Andrist; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Sanvick.

Visitation will be 4:00–7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Monday, June 20th.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st Street SE in Hayfield.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, following will be a reception at the Hayfield American Legion, 7 Main Street West.
