JOHN STANLEY VACKO
The funeral mass for John Stanley Vacko will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015, at St. John Baptist de LaSalle Catholic Church, 20 ~ 2nd Street NE in Dodge Center with Father Thien Nguyen celebrating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Monday at the church.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center with military honors by the Dodge Center American Legion Post 384.
John Stanley Vacko, 75, of Dodge Center passed away on August 4, 2015, at Golden Living East in Rochester, MN.
John was born on June 8, 1940, the son of Joseph and Bessie (Cepelak) Vacko in Owatonna, MN.
He graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1958. John served in the U.S. Marines for four years. John farmed for many in years in Dodge Center, and was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle Catholic Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed toy tractors and reading.
John is survived by his three sisters, Ann Vacko, Kasson, MN; Judy (Duane) Brockney, Osage, IA; Margaret Vote, Riceville, IA; one brother, Edward (Maria) Vacko, Bloomington, MN; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center assisted with arrangements.
