Joleen "Joey" Michelle Hammon

JoLeen Michelle (Stoddard) Hammon of Rochester, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 55, surrounded by her many friends and family at Mayo Clinic Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew her. JoLeen “Joey” was born on December 7, 1969, in Rochester to loving parents, David and Mary (Baker) Stoddard. Joey grew up in Dodge Center, MN. She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1988, and attended RCC receiving an Associates of Arts degree. She married her high school sweetheart, Troy Stafford, and together they had two sons, Brandon Stafford and Benjamin (Ben) Stafford. Joey’s boys were her greatest achievement and she beamed with joy at their presence and accomplishments. They were her pride and joy!

Joey remarried to Arick Hammon in 2002. Joey and Arick lived in Kasson while Brandon and Ben were in school. Joey and Arick, along with their dad Troy, were at every game and school event. Holiday events often included everyone in her extended family.

Joey worked for Wells Fargo Bank, Mayo Clinic in Alzheimer’s Research, McNeilus Steel in Dodge Center and finally for Nexus Kindred Family Healing. She was a dedicated employee, always bringing a smile to work.

Joey was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She cherished spending time with her family and was very supportive and proud of her sons.

Joey was preceded in death by her father, Dave Stoddard; and her grandparents, Robert and Frances Stoddard and Donald and Katherine Baker. She is survived by her husband, Arick; her mother, Mary Stoddard; sons, Brandon (Samantha) Stafford and Benjamin (Brooke) Stafford; her sister, Jennifer (Jeremy) Posey; nephew, Thomas Weber; and nieces, Andrea Stoddard, Jade Posey and Mariah Posey. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, 68905 280th Ave in Kasson, MN with Pastor Pete Wyttenbach officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 25 South Street SW Dodge Center, MN and one hour prior to her service at the church on Tuesday.  Inurnment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, MN, where she will rest next to her father.
