The memorial service for June Eleanor Johnson will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church, 109 Main Street, in Hayfield, MN with Reverend Dr. Steve Robertson officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church.

June Eleanor Johnson, 85, passed away on Friday morning, December 4, 2015, at Susie's Place in Hayfield after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. The family is thankful for the loving care she received from Susie's Place.

June was born on June 29, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Katherine (Van Nimwegan) Gasink in Orange City, IA. June was united in marriage to DeWayne Johnson on February 17, 1951, in St. James, MN. June and DeWayne moved to Hayfield in 1958. June was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She taught Sunday School, was in the church choir, served as a church Deacon and volunteered at Mayo Clinic. June enjoyed golfing, knitting, her coffee group, and she belonged to a Dinner Club. KC was her favorite cat.

June is survived by her daughters, Gail (Bruce) Bungum, Sargeant, MN; and Amy (Stephen) Lambert, Grand Junction, CO; four grandsons Andrew, Matthew (Denise), Timothy Bungum and Bret Lambert, and one great grandson, Ellis Bungum. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2003, and one sister, Ruth Kramer.
