June Ann Simonson

June Simonson, 86, passed away on December 6, 2019, at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Rochester, MN.

June was born on July 10, 1933, the daughter of Cecil and Letha (Waddill) Morehead in Chicago, IL. June grew up in Grayslake, IL. She was united in marriage to Allen Simonson on June 23, 1951 in Grayslake, IL. She worked for International Transport in Rochester for 12 years.

June enjoyed fishing, camping, crafts, and was active at the Evanger Lutheran Church and the Hayfield Legion Auxiliary.

June is survived by her children, Michael (Patty) Simonson, Spring Valley, MN; Cathy (Henry) Hoyt, Prescott, AZ; Linda Simonson, Rochester, MN; Diane (Paul) Stanton, Hayfield, MN; Nancy (Richard) Beechum, Adel, IA; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Allen, one daughter, Judith Ann Simonson, and one brother, Wayne Morehead.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2019, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2 ^nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Evanger Lutheran Church, 33554 660 ^th Avenue in Sargeant, MN with Reverend Dwight DoBell officiating. Interment will be in Evanger Lutheran Cemetery.Blessed be her memory.
