KATHLEEN JEANETTE SKIME-LAW

A memorial service in the celebration of Kathy's life will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, county Road #20 in rural Sargeant, MN on Friday, January 25, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Kathleen Jeanette Law (Skime), 47, died on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN after her battle with cancer.


Kathy was born in International Falls, MN on December 3, 1965, to Lloyd Sr. and Dorothy (Williams) Skime. Kathy's family moved to Holmen, WI in 1970, where she attended high school. Later they moved to Byron, MN. Kathy worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation for many years. She also was employed by Scotts Farms prior to her death. Kathy and Bob were married on November 28, 2012.

Kathy enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and heading North to the Lake of the Woods with her husband, Bob and their beloved dog, Mickey. Kathy's passions were singing and her family. Kathy loved to laugh and she had a zeal for life that was contagious to those around her. She was quick to smile, and gave hugs freely.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Bob, Claremont, MN; their dog, Mickey; stepson, Luke and stepdaughter, Danielle; brothers, John (Betty) Skime, Utica, MN; Carl (Pam) Skime, Hayfield, MN; Lloyd Jr. (Marilyn) Skime, Brice Prairie, WI; David (Jean) Skime, Fountain City, WI; Ed (Lori) Skime, Kasson MN; sisters, Gail (David) Lyke, Owatonna, MN; Lisa (Kurt) Davis , La Crescent, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Sr. And Dorothy Skime and her sister Pamela, Skime.

Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center assisted with arrangements.
