KENNETH HOWARD BOYSEN

The memorial service for Kenneth Howard Boysen will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at the Dodge Center United Methodist Church in Dodge Center with Reverend Michelle Miller and Reverend David Helfinstine co-officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Kenneth Howard Boysen, 68, died on Friday morning, February 5, 2010, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN after a brief illness with cancer.

Kenneth was born on September 17, 1941, the son of Howard and Merle (Anderson) Boysen in Dodge County, MN. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1959, and entered the U.S. Army for three years. Kenneth was united in marriage to Lavonne Louks on May 28, 1966, in Dodge Center, MN. He worked at SPX in Owatonna for 33 years and retired in 2001. Kenneth enjoyed gardening, the great outdoors, hobby farming and his family and grandchildren.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, LaVonne Boysen, Dodge Center, MN; 3 sons, Jeffrey Boysen, Dodge Center, MN; Jamie (Stacy) Boysen, Pine Island, MN; Chad (Kristen) Boysen, Centerville, MN; 1 daughter, Lori (Eric) Lofthus, Dodge Center, MN; 2 grandchildren, Dana and Alyssa Lofthus; 2 step grandchildren, Coltan and Luke Runge; 2 brothers, Harold (Betty) Boysen, Rochester, MN; Robert (Mary) Boysen, Thornton, CO; 4 sisters, Evelyn (Arnold) Hertle, Rochester, MN; Dorothy Boysen, Austin, MN; Darlene (Tim) Legred, Bricelyn, MN and Marlene Shafer, Kasson, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Eugene Boysen, 1 infant brother, and 1 infant sister. The family prefers memorials to Disabled American Veterans.
