Lavonne Elaine Senjem

LaVonne Elaine Senjem, 80, passed away on January 1, 2017, at her home in rural Hayfield, MN.
LaVonne was born on May 22, 1936, the daughter of Oscar and Inez (Sween) Evenson in Mower County, MN. She graduated from Grand Meadow High School and attended Luther College for one year. She was a hairdresser and later did seasonal work for SENECA.
LaVonne was active in her church. She enjoyed landscaping, her grandchildren and riding around the farm on her golf cart. LaVonne was a great cook and enjoyed family dinners on Sunday afternoons. LaVonne is survived by two sons, Michael (Susan) Senjem; Rock Dell, MN; Steve Senjem; Stewartville, MN; two daughters, Lori Rand; and Debra (Bryan) DeCook, both of Rock Dell, MN; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene, October 2, 2005; one sister, and one infant daughter.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017, at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 6200 County 3 SW Byron, MN with Reverend Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be in East St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery.
