Lloyd Leland Black Jr.

Lloyd Leland Black Jr. “Butch”, 71, of Kasson, MN passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Saint Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN.

Lloyd was born on October 6, 1949, in Duluth, MN to Lloyd Leland Sr. and Catherine (Duame) Black.  He graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth, MN in 1968.  He worked at the Post Office in Duluth, MN and then went on to serve in the United States Navy for 25 years.  He married Diane Wiita in Duluth, MN on May 9, 1970.  Lloyd enjoyed family time, bowling, and playing cards.  He also enjoyed going to the casino.   He was a dedicated family man and will be deeply missed by his loved ones.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Diane Black of Kasson, MN; children, David (Kim) Black of Rochester, MN, Darrell (Lauren) Black of Slidell, LA, and Tina (Fred) Bollinger of Muskegon, MI; father, Lloyd Leland Black Sr. of Duluth, MN; siblings, Candy (Dennis) Johns of North Carolina and Ronnie Black of Duluth, MN; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Black; brother, Billy Black; and Uncle, Clarence Black.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7 ^th St SE in Kasson with Pastor John Todor officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.   Military honors will be provided by the Kasson American Legion Post 333 immediately following the service.   Due to the current health concerns, the wearing of face masks will be required.
