Lois Arlene Nash

Lois Arlene Nash, 88, of Dodge Center, MN. passed away on January 24, 2018 at Whitewater Health Services in St. Charles, MN.

Lois was born October 4, 1929 in Olmsted County, MN to Miles and Frances (Currier) Brannan. She married Kenneth L. Nash on February 18, 1948 in Menomonee Falls, WI. They made their home in Ripley Township, Dodge County, MN. where they farmed for many years. Lois was a member of Farm Bureau, NFO, Nash Car Club and the Dodge County Saddle Club. She also operated a horse-drawn surrey service and provided many newlyweds a surrey ride from their church. Lois drove in area parades and gave buggy rides at the Hubbell House in Mantorville. She was a proud member of the Mantorville Sr. Citizens.

Lois worked for a time at Owatonna Hospital and retired in 1989 from the ASCS (Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service) office in Dodge Center while helping with farm operations at the same time.

She is survived by her daughter Catherine (Ed) Evans of St. Charles, MN.; one grandson Jeff (Kelly) Evans of Rochester, MN.; two great-grandchildren Olivia and Claire Evans; and a brother Cecil Brannan of Kasson, MN. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth in 1989, son Randy, infant daughter, brother Glen and a sister Velma.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 30 at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 25 South St SW in Dodge Center, MN at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Dodge Center.
