Lora Katherine Johnson

Lora Katherine Johnson, 54, of Dodge Center MN passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lora loved her family and friends deeply. Her willingness to help others was always present regardless of her own circumstances. She loved animals deeply, as they held a special place in her life. Her dogs especially held a special place in her heart, making her pets members of the family.

Lora is survived by her mother, Carol Fickert; sister, Nicole Chappuis; niece’s, Alexus Cain and Mia Cain; nephew, Ebin Cain; great nieces, Maloree, Zoee and Thea; great nephew, Tatumn; friend, Wayne Banks; and dogs, Marge and Roxy.

Lora was preceded in death by her son, Jaeden Johnson, who she sought to honor in pursuing an education by becoming an addiction counselor. She fulfilled this promise a May 14, 2025, in spite of her battle with cancer. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ashley Fickert and her grandparents, Robert and Donna Mae Kirchner.

A visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 25 South St SW in Dodge Center, MN.  Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, MN.  A celebration of life will be hosted by Lora’s friends following her burial at the Mantorville Saloon 2, also known as the former VFW building, 509 Main St N in Mantorville, MN.
