LUELLA MAY SCHIECK

The funeral service for Luella May Schieck will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 ~ 1st Street SE in Hayfield, MN with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating.

Vistation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June, 3, 2014, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin, MN.

Luella May Schieck, 91, passed away on Saturday afternoon, May 31, 2014, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield.

Luella was born on June 13, 1922, the daughter of Ole and Alvina (Evenson) Johnson in Dodge County, MN. She attended the Thoe Country School through eighth grade. Luella was united in marriage to Lorenz Schieck on December 6, 1941, in Hayfield. Luella worked at various jobs in the Food Industry and was a nanny and care giver. She enjoyed flowers, cooking, baking, gardening, traveling and camping. Luella was very proud of her Norwegian Heritage. Luella was a very special mother, grandmother and friend.

Luella is survived by her children, Marcia Christensen, Rochester, MN; Michael (Lorinda) Schieck, Rochester, MN; Rita (George) Heydt, Hayfield, MN; Sally (Randy) Pettitt, North St. Paul, MN; Dwight Schieck, Hayfield, MN; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth (Beau) Senjem. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and one sister.
