The funeral service for Lyle LeRoy Wulf will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at the United Methodist Church, 20 ~ 1st Street NE, Dodge Center with Reverend Dave Westlake and Reverend Joel Xavier co-officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
Lyle LeRoy Wulf, 84, passed away on December 6, 2014, at his home in Kasson, MN after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Lyle was born on August 2, 1930, in Clinton, IA the son of Glenn and Talva (Sanford) Wulf. He was united in marriage to Mavis Janet Kiefer on April 26, 1948, in St. Ansgar, IA. They moved to Kasson, MN in 1953, where they lived for 63 years and raised five children. Lyle and his wife ran the roller rink in Wanamingo, MN, from 1973-1984. They owned and operated Quamingo Lines in Wanamingo. Lyle was coach driver for 28 years, owner for 14 years and was a school bus driver for 7 years. He also was in the business of plumbing and heating for 10 years.
Lyle is survived by his children, Connie (David) Buske, Rochester, MN; Carol (Irvine) Pratt, Brighton, CO; Eugene (Bonnie) Wulf, Lafayette, IN; Holly (Keith) Floen, Cumming, GA; Jay Wulf, West St. Paul, MN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; siblings, Glenn Wulf, Port Orchard, WA; Roberta Wulf, Reseda, CA; Loree Nelson, Livingston, MT; and Dale Wulf, Reseda CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Mavis in 2011 and granddaughter, Deana Mae. Family prefers memorials to Meals on Wheels, St. Peter's Episcopal Church (A Place at the Table) or donor's choice.
