Marcia Elaine Wingler

Marcia Frankel (Gottlieb) Wingler, who was a resident of Kasson MN and more recently of Rochester MN; and died on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the age of 85.

She was born on October 3, 1940, in Newark, New Jersey and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Frankel and Bertie (Granoff) Frankel.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly Ostrow of Florida; two sons, Gary Gottlieb (Tanya) of Austin MN and Steven Gottlieb (Gina) of Hampton VA; one grandson, Brandon Gottlieb of Rochester MN; two estranged granddaughters, Karli Zackeru and Samantha Worman, both residing in Colorado; niece, Susan Kruse of Florida; nephew, Stuart Ostrow, of Florida; and many other friends and extended family.

According to her grandson, Brandon and all who knew her would agree, she was kind, sweet, sassy and funny. “You could tell her a joke and she would laugh at it”. She loved to play Mahjong with her friends, as well as spending time with her grandson, whom she adored. She was an avid reader and started a subscription to Reader’s Digest when she was 17. She also liked traveling and had been to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Massachusetts, Vermont, Florida, Virginia, Iowa, Washington State, California, Alaska, and Connecticut just to name a few places. Plus, she had enjoyed seeing many areas of the great state of Minnesota, such as Duluth and Lanesboro, that she has lived in since 2007. All of us were blessed to have known her and are thankful for her life here and know she is now resting comfortably and no longer suffering after her battle with dementia.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE in Kasson, MN. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery in Dodge Center, MN.
