MARCIALOU ANN CHICOS

Marcialou Ann Chicos, 86, of Claremont, died Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Owatonna Hospital in Owatonna, MN.

Marcia was born on November 20, 1932, in Arcadia, IA the daughter of Henry and Colette (Schroeder) Petersohn.  She married Lowell Twaddle on July 7, 1956. He later died in 1970. She then married Norman Chicos on February 8, 1975.  She was raised and went to school in Iowa and later moved to Minnesota with her family in 1948.  She worked as a waitress at the Dodge County Café and also with Ripley Township Clerk for 35 years.  Marcia was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Claremont. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, playing cards, the Minnesota Vikings and Twins and her time wintering in Lake Havasu, AZ.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Chicos, Claremont, MN; five sons, James Twaddle, Kasson, MN; Thomas (Shelly) Twaddle, Owatonna, MN; Ronald (Judy) Twaddle, Kasson, MN; Jon Twaddle, Hatsboro, PA; Chad (Gwen) Chicos, Waseca. MN; one daughter, Susan (Steven) Hondl, Owatonna, MN; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Petersohn, Cary, NC; and Donald Petersohn, Owatonna, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parent in laws, husband, Lowell, one sister, Janice, one brother Dale; and one nephew, Troy.

Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019, at St. John the Baptist de la Salle Catholic Church 20 2 ^nd Street NE in Dodge Center with Father Thomas Niehaus celebrating.  Interment will be in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Cemetery in Claremont.

Visitation will be Wednesday January 23, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

The family gives many thanks to Brookdale Senior Living of Owatonna for their exceptional care these last few months.
