Marian Frances Kiefer

Marian Frances Kiefer, 93, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.

Marian was born on September 15, 1932, in Kasson, MN to William and Mildred (Lienau) O’Brien. On September 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Loren John Kiefer at the Dodge Center United Methodist Church. She worked as a custodian for Dodge Center schools and at McNeilus Steel until her retirement.

Marian enjoyed embroidery and making fleece tie blankets. She also loved camping, fishing, and word searches.

Marian is survived by her daughters, Sharon Narveson of Kasson, MN and Cheryl (Kevin) Hornberg of Altura, MN; 9 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren Kiefer; twin sons, Delmer and Darrel Kiefer; sisters, Belva and Audrey; and sister-in-laws, Opal, Nova, Lenora, Mavis, and Renee.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN with Pastor Roger Langworthy officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN and one hour prior to her service on Thursday. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, MN. A luncheon will follow at the Dodge Center American Legion Post 384, 401 Hwy St W in Dodge Center, MN.
