Marilynn Elaine Holtan

Marilynn Elaine Holtan, 95, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on April 27, 2021, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield.

Marilynn was born the daughter of John and Anna (Brewer) Hogle in Dodge County, MN on June 27, 1925.  She attended Mantorville Schools. Marilynn was united in marriage to Harold Holtan on September 5, 1945, in Kasson, MN.  The couple resided on a farm outside of Hayfield. She worked at Johnson Pharmacy for many years and later was a part time funeral assistant for the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home for a few years.  She was an active member of her church.  Marilynn enjoyed gardening, flowers (especially peonies), and her cats and dogs.

Marilynn is survived by her children, Robert (Verna) Holtan, Hayfield, MN; Debbie (Dallas) Martin, Kasson, MN; Hollis “Hodd” (Karen) Holtan, Hayfield, MN; Brenda (Lenny) Rabon, St. Louis, MO; Sharon (Bob) Fleming, Rochester, MN; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brother, Dan Hogle, Eden Prairie, MN; and sister, Sethone Slayton, Rochester, MN.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; one grandson, Scott and one great granddaughter, Scarlett.

Visitation will be 5:00–7:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2 ^nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.  The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1 ^st Street SE in Hayfield with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.  Family prefers memorials to donor’s choice.
