MARJORIE MARIE HEAD

The funeral service for Marjorie Marie Head will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Highway 56, 410 3rd Avenue SW with Barry Mosier officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Sunday at the church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, MN.
Marjorie Marie Head, 93, died on July 28, 2010, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.
Marjorie was born on April 23, 1917, the daughter of Vernon and Hazel (Brockway) Gary in Rochester, MN.
Marjorie grew up in the Douglas, MN area and attended rural schools. She was united in marriage to Marvin Head on August 1, 1940, in Rochester, MN. Marjorie and her husband owned and operated the Purina Feed Store in Dodge Center. Marjorie was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, wintering in Arizona, and watching her grandchildren's sports.
Marjorie is survived by one son, Gerald (Mary) Head, Dodge Center, MN; 2 grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Head, Fond du Lac, WI; Brian (Tracy) Head, Dodge Center, MN; 6 great grandchildren, Molly, Cydney, and Peyton Head; Tyler, Alex, Andrew Head; and 1 sister, Lyla Miller, Ogilvie, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Head in 1996; and one brother, Melvin.
