Mary Jean Demmer

Mary Jean Sybilrud Demmer, 89 went to heaven while at Field Crest Care Center, August 20, 2022. Mary was born on April 21, 1933, the daughter of Reuben and Lillian (Nelson) Sybilrud in New Richland, MN. She graduated from new Richland High School in 1950 and then went to beauty school. She married her husband, Lyle Demmer in 1952 at le Suer Lutheran Church in New Richland.

Lyle was in the army, and they then moved to Fort Riley, Kansas. After the service, they moved to Hayfield MN where she was the bookkeeper for their John Deere business. Mary was very involved in scouting, church and auxiliary, her children and grandchildren.

Mary was survived by her daughter, Pamela; son, Steven (Becky); 6 grandchildren, Angela, Michael, Matthew, Luke, Jordan and Paige, 10 great grandchildren, Alexandra, Aviella, Leah, Grayson, Kaiden, Haley, Hayden, Lyla, Wyatt and Kenslea. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Lillian Sybilrud, daughter-in-law, Doreen Demmer; her sister, Joy; brother, Harold; granddaughter, Ashley; son, Greg; son-in-law, John and husband, Lyle.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st Street SE in Hayfield with Reverend Kristen Anderson officiating with visitation one hour before the service at the church.  Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.  Blessed be her memory.
