MAVIS JANET WULF
The funeral service for Mavis Janet Wulf will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011, at the Dodge Center United Methodist Church, 20 First Street NE in Dodge Center with Reverend Dave Westlake officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Mavis Janet Wulf, 77, passed away Tuesday evening, September 6, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Mavis was born on October 7, 1933, the daughter of John William and Myrtle (Harwood) Kiefer in Tenvick, North Dakota. Mavis was united in marriage to Lyle Wulf on April 26, 1948, in St. Ansgar, IA. She and her husband ran the roller rink in Wanamingo, MN, from 1973-1984. The couple owned and operated Quamingo Lines in Wanamingo, where she was a tour agent with Southern Sight Seeing Club. Mavis was an adult care giver for many patients, a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout leader and was involved with youth groups at church. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant so much to her.
Mavis is survived by her husband, Lyle Wulf, Kasson, MN; her children, Connie (David) Buske, Rochester, MN; Carol (Irvin) Pratt, Brighton, CO; Eugene (Bonnie) Wulf, Lafayette, IN; Holly (Keith) Floen, Cumming, GA; and Jay Wulf, West St. Paul, MN; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Opal Johnson, Dodge Center, MN; and Renee Hedberg, Owatonna, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Family prefers memorials to the Alzheimers Association.
