Melanie Doward, 38, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
Born and raised in Hayfield, Minnesota, Melanie was welcomed into the world by her parents, Richard and Margaret Masching on August 11, 1984. Melanie graduated from Hayfield High School, where she was a proud member of the band. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in finance from Winona State University, she relocated to Warner Robins, Georgia. Here, she was a member of New Song Missionary Baptist Church, where she loved and leaned on her church family. She was a long-time employee of Robins Financial Credit Union where she loved helping others as part of her day-today job. Melanie loved being around her nieces and nephews and with her dear friends. She enjoyed nature and could be found going on walks, fishing, and beach trips to Florida where she enjoyed just sitting and taking it all in.
Melanie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul Snyder and Paul and Marge Mashing. Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Jason Doward; her parents, Richard and Margaret Masching; her stepdaughter, Tabitha Noelle Doward; her brothers, Andrew “Andy” Masching (Katie), Jonathan “Jon” Mashing (Danielle), and Nathan Masching; her nieces and nephews, Hannah, Justin, Hadley and Garrett; and her grandmother, Irene Snyder.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 501 2 nd Street NW in Hayfield. A private family burial will be held on Wednesday at St. Finbarrs Catholic Cemetery in Grand Meadow. Blessed be her memory.
