The memorial service for Michael Moses Peterson will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 28959 630th Avenue, Sargeant, MN with Reverend Ronald Prigge officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield, MN.
Michael Moses Peterson, 33, of Byron, MN died Tuesday, June 09, 2009, in Byron, Minnesota.
Michael was born on June 10, 1975, in Austin, MN. He is the son of Jeffrey Peterson and Ruth (Clayton) Vale. He was Baptized at the Brownsdale Catholic Church and Confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Sargeant, MN. Michael graduated in 1993, from Mayo High School in Rochester. He served in the United States Army from 1994-1996 in Hawaii. He was united in marriage to Marie Schwering and later divorced. He worked as a machine operator at Schmidt Printing in Byron from 1996 until the time of his death. He enjoyed his children, fishing, camping, exploring, music, and was a freelance artist.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Abigail Peterson, Plainview, MN; Kai-Mica Peterson, and Trinity Peterson, both of Hayfield, MN; mother, Ruth (James) Vale, Wasioja, MN; father, Jeffrey Peterson, Hayfield, MN; birth father, Michael (Heather) Kvasnicka, Lebanon, TN; maternal grandparents, James (Jeanette) Clayton, Austin, MN; paternal grandmother, Barbara Peterson, Hayfield, MN; sisters, Anna (Ryan) Eidem, Sioux Falls, SD; and Crystal Peterson, Red Wing, MN; Tenille, Cheri, Jasmine, Shaunte Kvasnicka, Lebanon, TN; and special friend, Stevie Ersland, Byron, MN. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Coler Peterson; paternal grandparents, Dick and Muriel Kvasnicka; uncles, Rick and Ted Kvasnicka.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield, MN and one hour before the service at the church. Military honors will be by the Hayfield American Legion Rothie Post #330. Memorials are preferred to the family.
