MILDRED EVELYN JOHNSON
Mildred Evelyn Johnson, 80, of Brownsdale, MN passed away on November 4, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary's Campus in Rochester, MN.
Mildred was born September 28, 1936, the daughter of Glenn and Rena (Heikes) Johnson in Austin, MN. She graduated from Austin High School in 1954, then attended Austin Community College. Mildred then attended Mankato State College for a teaching degree. She taught school in Tracy, MN for 2 years and 1st and 2nd grades in Stewartville for 39 years. Mildred enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafts, and was active at the First Baptist Church in Brownsdale.
Mildred is survived by two brothers, Wayne and Lowell Johnson, Waltham, MN; two nieces, Marlene (Bob) Heinz, LaSalle, IL; Linda (Arlie) Brandmeyer, Ankeny, IA; nephew, Wesley (Dondee) Johnson, Sargeant, MN; great nephew, Bryce (Krista) Johnson, Stewartville, MN; great niece and nephew, Sydney and Aaron Brandmeyer, Ankeny, IA; great-great nieces, Kelsey and Carly; and great-great nephew, Lucas-Johnson, Stewartville, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Neil and wife, Lillian Johnson; and sister, Doris Ellen Johnson.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 501 ~ 2nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 206 East Main Street in Brownsdale, MN with Pastor Kenneth Petzold officiating. Blessed be her memory.
