MILDRED MARIE STOFFERAHN

The memorial service for Mildred Marie Stofferahn will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Pleasant Corners United Methodist Church, 21927 650th Street, Kasson, MN with Reverend Karen Seavey officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street, Dodge Center, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
Mildred Marie Stofferahn, 84, of Kasson, MN passed away on April 23, 2011, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.
Mildred was born on May 15, 1926, in rural Walters, MN to Walter and Hertha (Wegner) Baumann. She attended school in Faribault County. Mildred was united in marriage to LeRoy Stofferahn on October 12, 1946, at Rice Lake Evangelical Church in rural Wells, MN. The couple lived in Mankato until 1955, when they moved to the Kasson, area. LeRoy farmed and was a custodian with Arnold's Supply until his retirement. Mildred was a bookkeeper at Erdman's Super Markets for 28 years until she retired. She worked as a salesperson at Riverside Gifts in Mantorville after that. Mildred was active at Pleasant Corners United Methodist Church, serving as a financial secretary and treasurer. She especially enjoyed working with the children and teaching Sunday School and vacation Bible School.
Mildred is survived by her children, David Stofferahn, Rochester, MN; Donna (Carl) Iverson, Cass Lake, MN; one grandchild, Leanne Greenslade, Kasson, MN; six great grandchildren, Bailey & Arabella Fields; Nachole, Allen III, Jesse and Kloe Greenslade; and brother, Everett Baumann, Kiester, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, LeRoy in 1989; grandson, William Fields, 2008. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center assisted with arrangements.
