The funeral service for Nancy Jean Alrick will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 70640 260th Avenue, Hayfield, MN with Reverend Arte Sharot officiating. Interment will be in West St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
Nancy Jean Alrick, 62, passed away at Mayo Clinic St. Marys Campus, Rochester, MN on May 22, 2015.
Nancy was born on December 27, 1952, the daughter of Herbert and Lorraine (Schultz) Theel in Rochester, MN.
Nancy graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester and attended Rochester Community College. Nancy was united in marriage to Donald Alrick on June 21, 1975, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church. She worked for the State of Minnesota as a secretary in Vocational Rehab, later at Interstate Power Company and 12 years at the Mayo Clinic, before retiring. Nancy enjoyed being a grandma, flowers, gardening, sewing, casinos, and animals. She loved her dogs, Mack and Mobey.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Donald Alrick; Hayfield, MN; children, Ben Alrick (Molly Pongratz), Kasson, MN; Katie (Andy) Masching, Hayfield, MN; and Jamie (David) Palmersheim, Hayfield, MN; 5 grandchildren, Hannah, Justin, Kaleb, Austin, and Grant; two brothers, Norman Theel, Rochester, MN; and John (Mollie) Theel, Stewartville, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents.
