NANCY ANN SOBOLIK-PETTIS
Nancy Ann Sobolik-Pettis, 57, was born February 26, 1959 to Donald & Arlene (Thilges) Sobolik in Austin, MN.
Nancy was united in marriage to Ervin (LeRoy) Pettis on June 28, 1996 and resided in the Oakland area for the remainder of her days.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, animals, the outdoors & especially the annual get together with her special girlfriends. After retiring as a Service Manager from Flaherty Auto & Truck Center she was fortunate to be able to spend the last nine summers at her favorite spot on Dixon Lake.
After a lengthy illness, Nancy passed away October 1, 2016 with family members at her side.
Survivors include her husband, Ervin (LeRoy) Pettis Oakland, MN; children, Tanya (Eric) Gourley, Blackduck, MN; Tara (Brian Hoffman) O'Dell, Minneapolis., MN; Jolene (Terry Bauman) Pettis, Maple Grove, MN; four grandchildren and sister, Rose Marie (Daniel) Sheimo, Austin, MN. Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents.
Nancy was a loving mother, sister & friend. She will be remembered most, by always being there for everyone and anyone whenever they needed her. Nancy was giving and forgiving and will be greatly missed by anyone and everyone she came in contact with.
A memorial service for Nancy will be held on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Church, 407 NW 4th Street in Austin, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street in Hayfield assisted with arrangements.
