The funeral service for Ralph Wallace Thoe will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 70640 260th Avenue Hayfield, MN with Reverend Darby Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with military honors by the Hayfield American Legion.

Ralph Wallace Thoe 86, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield.

Ralph Wallace Thoe was born on July 17, 1925, the son of Alfred and Emma (Gulbransen) Thoe in Hayfield, MN. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1943. Ralph was united in marriage to Dorothy Rosenberg on June 28, 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1955 to August 1955. Ralph farmed until 1960. He worked for Harry Mohn Tiling and for Dave Elliott Tiling. In 1972, he purchased his own tiling machine. Ralph served on the Vernon Township Patrol for over 25 years and was a member of the Hayfield American Legion for 50 years. He was a lifetime member of West St. Olaf Lutheran Church and served on the West St. Olaf Cemetery Board and the Dodge County Planning and Zoning Board.

Ralph is survived by one daughter, Christine (David) Meyer, Janesville, MN; one son, John (Chris) Thoe, Hayfield, MN; three brothers, Oliver (Virginia) Thoe, Hayfield, MN; Donald (JoAnn) Thoe, Sargeant, MN; Clifford (Euphemia) Thoe, Humble, TX; three sisters, Norma Bjork, Rochester, MN; Wilma (Ralph) Kyllo, Hayfield, MN; Harriet (Noel) Redalen, Chatfield, MN; sister-in-law, Lila Rosenberg, Rochester, MN; five grandchildren, Renae (Justin) Danberry, Lance (Emily) Meyer, Andrew Meyer, Cameron and Jackson Thoe; two great grandchildren, Brody and Kirby Danberry. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; one son, Michael; one brother, Ronald Thoe; three brothers-in-law; and two nephews.


Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
