Raymond Lewis Ihrke

Raymond Lewis Ihrke, age 96, passed away March 7, 2019 at The Cedars of Austin, MN.

Raymond was born to Niles and Rosa Ihrke on May 12, 1922, in Lake City, Iowa.  Raymond married Viola Karges on November 23, 1944, also in Lake City, Iowa.  Ray and Viola moved to Dexter Minnesota in 1962, where they farmed north of town until 1976, when they sold the farm and moved into Dexter.  In 1984, they moved to Brownsdale where Ray worked for Don Akkerman, Countryside Farm Supply, and the Brownsdale Elevator.  Ray and Viola celebrated their 65 ^th wedding anniversary in November 2009.

Raymond is survived by his son, Bill (Joy) Ihrke of Dexter, grandchildren Tristan (Caesar) Torres and Amber (Syd) Schramm, and four great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Evan, Cale, and Sadie.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne Ihrke, wife Viola, and daughter Rozanne Sweeney. A private family service will be later in the spring. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield is assisting with arrangements.
