Richard Ronald Louks

Richard R. Louks, 81, of Mantorville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Prairie Meadows Senior Living in Kasson, MN.

Dick was born November 22, 1938 in Faribault, MN to Virgil and Florence (Simpson) Louks. On December 14, 1957, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson, MN, he married Jean Hayden. Dick owned and operated Louks construction from 1966 until his retirement in 2013. He enjoyed spending time caring for his yard and property, watching the wildlife in his woods, and tinkering in his shop. Dick loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a hard worker, a jokester, wonderful storyteller and was always helping others. He will be missed.

Dick is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean; son, Rodney (Sheila) Louks; three grandchildren, Raelynn (Ben) Mattick, Isaac (Raya) Louks, Logan Louks and four great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Brystal Mattick and Rose and Oliver Clock. Dick is also survived by his brothers, Terry, Butch and Jerry (Arlene) Louks; sisters, Verta Johnson, Pat (Tony) Distad, Lizzie (Leonard) Westin, Linda (Danny) Brockmiller; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Dick was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky; granddaughter, Alicia Louks and by twelve other siblings.
