RONALD C. PETIT

Ronald C. Petit, 77, formerly of Rochester, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2019, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. He had struggled with many health issues in recent years.

A celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 Second Street NW in Hayfield, MN. Visitation will be from 10:00 until the time of the service.

Ron was born July 28, 1941, in Sioux Falls, SD to Lyle A. and Inez M. (Damm) Petit, Sr. Ron worked for many years for the Toro Corporation and later the Little Six Casino in Prior Lake. Ron was a hard worker and was always ready with a quick joke or funny story. He loved to collect, trade and sell all kinds of sports cards and other sports memorabilia. He also loved to make and craft things.

He will be missed by his wife, Patricia C. (Johnson) of Hayfield, now living in Davenport, Iowa; his surviving siblings, Judy (Curt) Larson and Linda (Bob) Bain; and his children, Ron Jr., Brenda, Kathy, Michael, Marie, Christina and Phillip. All his extended family, friends, and coworkers are welcome to attend his Celebration of Life and share their stories of Ron and his humor.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lyle Jr., Clifford, Robert, Roger and Jerald. Blessed be his memory.
